You Bought a New Hoop... Now what?

You selected your new hula hoop. Its exactly what you wanted and its headed your way. I bet you are excited to get it home and get started.  Here are a few pointers to get you off on the right foot.
Unwrap and let it BREATHE

You received your beautiful Happy Hoop in the mail, but it seems a lot smaller than you expected. That's because it is coiled down for shipment. Before you get too excited, its a good idea to open your hoop, remove any ties and let your hoop "breathe' for a few hours. The tubing is effected by temperature and opening it up too quickly or with too much force can cause your hoop be odd shaped or even crack.  To be patient its worth it.
Uncoiling your Hoop

If you purchased a hoop with a push button connector this point is pretty obvious. After Letting the hoop sit FLAT and OPEN for a few hours just connect the ends and listen for the SNAP. And your ready to go!

If you purchased a hoop with an infinity connection this in a little more complicated. First find your connection points,  Then opposite of the connection you will see how the 2 loops want to separate like butterfly wings. Open them up slowly. This will leave you with a figure "8" shape with the connections intersecting in the middle. Gently pull the connections apart. you will feel the tubing rotate around the connector. This will open the hoop up to its full size.
What if my hoop isn't quite round?

This can happen, especially the first time getting it open. Usually warming it up in the sun and then playing with it will reshape a wonky hoop. If you're still having trouble and its not sunny outside. warm it up with a blow dryer and gently work the tubing into shape. If this isn't working and you bought your hoop from Happy Hoops.
